A Week in the Life - Day 1
Day 1: Sunday
Yesterday was an incredibly busy day for me, involving a trip to John Lewis and a hair appointment. I stupidly planned to do these activities the day before a big meeting I was running with my Mum. Even after many years of dealing with M.E. I still try to do too much on a regular basis. I woke this morning feeling exhausted. I needed to conserve energy, so my day was a quiet one. The majority of the morning was spent relaxing, meditating and sleeping. I didn't leave this space unless it was absolutely essential.
My outfit for the day (up until 2:45pm) consisted of pyjamas. Glamorous I know, but such is the life of someone dealing with M.E.
My skin has been awful recently. I have developed a reaction to something in my skincare or make up routine. After a month of giving my skin a break I booked in for a facial and have seen a significant improvement. I have finally started to work products back in to my morning and nighttime routines.
I have a simple routine for now, one for sensitive skin, and I try to use it twice daily regardless of how I am feeling. I do not want my skin getting back to the tired state it has been in recently.
2:45pm - It's time to get dressed and ready for the church meeting Mum and I are running.
Running the meeting today was more rewarding than the cost of the exhaustion afterward. I was more exhausted than before and had used up all my energy. I ate, collapsed in front of the television with my hubby for a while, and then headed to bed.
