Your Session

It can be really scary to book a photography session. You've made the decision to invest in your family, now what? You might have concerns or "What if ...?" questions floating round your head.

Let me walk you through the process of a session with me.

Booking your Session

Contact me and we'll start a discussion about when will be the best time to book your session. In order to reserve the date in my calendar a £100 non-refundable deposit is due. 

I will then send you a questionnaire.

The Questionnaire

This helps me get to know your family. I want to know the stages your children are at, the quirks you love about your husband, the areas of your home that you love. Knowing this helps me look for the moments that you will treasure the most. 

The Day of the Session

The rest of the session fee is due before your session begins.

I want you to live your life as if you didn't have a photography session booked. I don't want you putting your children in their best matching clothes. If your littlest wants to run around in a superhero cape, let them wear the superhero cape! 

I'll arrive, if you have young children who are slightly wary of me, I might join in with the family fun before getting my camera out. I want them to be comfortable around me and if that means I need to read them their favourite story - I will. Don't panic! Your photos will be better for it.

Having said that, it's important to know that when I'm taking photos, I'm not going to direct. I capture life as it happens. If your child decides to pick up a crayon and redecorate your walls then you'll have photos of them producing their work of art. Their mischievous adventures are part of your life and although frustrating in the moment, are worth documenting.

The Waiting Game

Once the session is over, I'm sure you're going to be super excited to see your gallery. There is a wait of 2-3 weeks between session date and your online gallery being ready.

Ordering

Your online gallery will be available for 3 months. You will receive a USB of your images (included in your session fee). 

Prints, wall art, and albums can be purchased from the online gallery. Once orders have been submitted for printing all sales are final.
