I can’t believe it’s been eight years since this day.

Time is so fleeting. I’ve blinked and years have passed, but at the same time so much has happened.

I’ve been trying to encapsulate everything we’ve been through: the places we’ve lived, the friends we’ve made, the movies we’ve watched, the goals we have made, the goals we have achieved. Life has been so full.

We’ve had difficult times, too. There have been times I didn’t know how to get through, but then I let you in and we worked through the difficulties together. With you there working through them with me, they suddenly didn’t seem so insurmountable.

Henry James wrote:

“It has made me better loving you… it has made me wiser, and easier, and brighter.”

For me this is true. I am a better person because I’ve had you by my side and I’m so grateful that we’re growing together.

So here’s to celebrating eight years and looking forward to an eternity more.
