Sunflowers

Sometimes you just need to jump in the car and head for a destination. I knew the moment that I saw posts about this sunflower field that we needed to just get out the house and go. So much of this year has been spent indoors due to lockdown. Is anyone else sick of covid being a part of every conversation? I can only apologise, 2020 has been a year and don’t we all know it?!

I am already a home body and I feel like lockdown has made me more so. Truth be told, It’s not always good for my mental health.

My husband recognised this, when I mentioned a sunflower field a short drive from our house, he was up for visiting. We took my camera and snapped away. I found being in a field with sunflowers as far as I could see, I couldn’t help but smile. Sunflowers are such happy flowers.

As a bonus our entry fee meant we were able to choose some sunflowers to bring home and the money was all donated to charity.
